GUWAHATI, Aug 13 � The City Police has issued an elaborate traffic arrangement plan on the occasion of Independence Day, which includes diversion of vehicles in different routes.
As per the plan, all types of heavy vehicles including city buses coming from Bharalumukh side towards Judges field via MG Road will be diverted at Cotton Collegiate School point and will proceed towards the Oasis point on the GNB Road. The Chandmari bound vehicles will take right turn and proceed towards Pan bazaar over Bridge North point via Oasis point, a press release stated.
The light vehicles coming from the Bharalumukh side towards Chandmari or Paltan Bazar will take right turn at DC Court point. Chandmari bound vehicles will take left turn at Commissioner�s point and proceed towards GNB Road via RBI point, while Paltan Bazar bound vehicles will take right turn towards Pan Bazar bridge.
The public coming by vehicles to attend the function without pass from Chandmari, Ulubari, Uzanbazar and Dispur side will be allowed to bring vehicles to LNB Road, HB Road via GNB Road and park them at the earmarked places.
Moreover, city buses coming from Gorpandu side towards Chandmari will be diverted at Cotton College and similarly city buses coming from Chandmari towards Adabari will proceed to Bharalumukh via Water supply point.
The Uzan Bazar bound buses would not be allowed to take turn at Guwahati Club point.
The City buses and all other heavy vehicles proceeding towards Bharalumukh from Paltan Bazar will run through AT Road.
