IMPHAL, May 14 - The Rongmei Students� Organisation, Manipur (RSOM) has demanded a fresh process to recruit teaching and non-teaching staff to Eklavya Model Residential Schools, particularly in Tamenglong district, by placing a new advertisement in all major local newspapers.
�We will launch various forms of democratic agitation in collaboration with other like-minded student organisations if the authorities concerned fail to address the matter within a month�s time,� warned RSOM general secretary Jeanthui Panmei. �We also want booking of those involved in the earlier recruitment process,� he added.
Addressing a press conference at the Manipur Press Club here this afternoon, the RSOM general secretary said that they came to know about the recruitment process in the current month. But the recruitment notification has not been published in any local newspaper of the State, he alleged. The students� body also demanded immediate cancellation of the current recruitment process.
