IMPHAL, May 24 - Four students and an equal number of security personnel were injured when police fired tear gas and mock bombs at agitated members of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), mostly students and women, who tried to storm the office of the Bharatiya Janata Party Manipur Pradesh at Keishampat here today. Another group of agitators also tried to storm the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (I) office at BT Road in Imphal.
Meanwhile, the All Manipur Nupi Marup staged a sit-in agitation at Irabot Bhavan in Imphal today demanding implementation of ILP system in the State.
