ITANAGAR, Aug 1 - The Muslim community in Arunachal Pradesh today celebrated Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid-Ul-Zuha and Bakr-Eid, by offering prayers at mosques and homes by following existing COVID-19 protocols.

On the occasion, Arunachal Governor Brig Dr BD Mishra (retd) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu greeted the Muslim community and expressed the hope that the sacred occasion would usher in goodwill and harmony and further strengthen the values of a composite society in the country.

�On the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Adha, we must remember the act of sacrifice by Ibrahim who offered his son Ismael for sacrifice to God,� said the Chief Minister in a separate message.
