JALUKBARI, July 20 - A team consisting of 25 college principals of Assam, senior academic administrator, registrar of Dibrugarh University, director of UGC-HRDC at Gauhati University and a few others will visit some top-ranked universities in Japan including Tokyo University, Osaka University and Kyoto University from July 21 to 27.
The aim of this academic visit is global exposure to the higher education officials and the college principals and also to developing closer ties between the higher educational institutions of India and Japan.
Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita, director of UGC-HRDC and professor-in-charge at the International Relations Office at Gauhati University, is coordinating the programme, while Dr Balendra Kumar Das, former president of the Assam College Principals Council is the mission leader.
