DIBRUGARH, Aug 27 � Noted economist Dr Jayanta Kumar Gogoi today breathed his last at his Chiring Chapori residence here. The end came at 6-30 PM. He was 58.
He leaves behind his wife and two sons. Those who have sent their condolences include Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, APCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita, and the Dibrugarh University community, among others. At the time of his death, Dr Gogoi was professor of Economics at the university here. He was the President of Dibrugarh District Congress Committee for three years.
Dr S Borborah, president, North East Economic Association has condoled his death.
