EC withdraws PSOs of MLA, ex-minister

NILAMBAZAR, April 22 - The Election Commission has withdrawn the personal security officers (PSOs) of South Karimganj MLA Aziz Ahmed Khan and former minister Siddeque Ahmed on rigging charges during the second phase of the Lok Sabha election in Karimganj LS seat on April 18.

It has been learnt that the Election Commission has not only withdrawn the PSOs, but also stopped the movement of both the former minister and the MLA acting on the complaint of micro observer of Atanagar LP School.

The SP, Karimganj Manabendra Deb Roy informed media persons that the PSOs were withdrawn after getting the complaint regarding rigging and seriously threatening the Micro observer of Atanagar polling station.
