Aizawl, Apr 24 (PTI): Easter Sunday, the resurrection of Jesus Christ after being crucified, was today celebrated all over the Christian-dominated State of Mizoram.
The Salvation Army band parties heralded the day by playing 'He has arisen' in many places in Aizawl and other places while the Catholic church members broke their fast to celebrate the Easter. Other church denominations also celebrated the day by distributing 'Easter eggs' and holding prayer services.
Meghalaya: The Christians in Meghalaya also observed Good Friday with fasts and daylong prayer services in churches.
Hundreds of Roman Catholic devotees took out a procession to Calvary at the Cathedral Church of Mary Help of Christians here in the State Capital. Other church denominations like the Presbyterian Church and the Baptist Church held their own services.
