AZARA, March 1 � Even after imposition of ban by district administration, earth cutting in and around Deepor Beel is continuing unabated by a section of local traders.
It has been observed that some so-called traders are cutting the soil in the western part of the beel by excavators and supplying it by trucks to the nearby places. Soil cutting is continuing day and night just half km away from the local police administration. The traders are also cutting the soil even from some �myadi� land near the beel.
It has been alleged that even after repeated complaints by some conscious people, Azara police has not taken any positive action in this regard for their alleged nexus with the traders.
