AIZAWL, Aug 18 - The Mizoram Government will set up an e-Visa centre in Champhai near the Myanmar border to facilitate issuing of visa online for entry into Myanmar, official sources said today.
The sources said the proposed e-Visa facilitation centre will be set at the Champhai district deputy commissioner�s office within one or two months from now.
An official press release said Mizoram Law minister TJ Lalnuntluanga discussed the matter with Champhai Deputy Commissioner Dr Naveen Aggrawal and other officials on Saturday. The meeting widely discussed the setting up of e-Visa centre to enable people to apply for a visa online for entry into Myanmar.
The meeting also observed that the proposed e-Visa facilitation centre will help construct better immigration centres and integrated check posts.
