DOOMDOOMA, Oct 26 - Tinsukia E-media Forum (TEMF) conferred the E-media Award-2015 to Arjun Baruah, a veteran journalist of Tinsukia district and the correspondent of vernacular daily Dainik Asam of Doomdooma.
The award was conferred last evening in a special function held at Tinsukia. The award carries a trophy, a citation, one phulam gamocha and a japi. The award was given away by the Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia district Puru Gupta.
Addressing the gathering after receiving the award Arjun Baruah who has been contributing news to the Dainik Asam from Doomdooma since 1971 thanked TEMF for their gesture and urged all the journalists to follow the ethics of journalism in their profession.
Earlier, TEMF president Abhijeet Biswas welcomed the guests.
