GUWAHATI, Aug 23 The GSA Super Division Football League today witnessed a disorganised encounter as both Dynamo Club and Food Corporation of India (FCI) Sports Club entered the ground without any plan.

Dynamo, however, won the match 3-1 which was their second victory in six outings. For FCI, it was their fifth defeat this season.

Baring the third Dynamo goal scored by midfielder Deepak Dey in the injury time of the first session, the match hardly had exciting moments. It was a gem of a goal as Deepak beat FCI custodian Bitul Khanikar with a curling left footer at the far corner of the goal.

Noisy Dynamo skipper Onyeama Francis worked hard at the right flank and set up all the goals with effective centres. Anticipating his floater, his Nigerian teammate Oneybi Nandos Ogbonna deflected the ball into the net in the sixth minute to give his team an early lead.

In the 14th minute, FCI defender Subungcha Daimary handled the ball inside the box, the centre was made by Francis. Defender Ajangpu Kabui fired home from the 12-metre spot to put his team 2-0 ahead.

But the FCI frontliners, who were not in proper shape to breakthrough to the Dynamo citadel, earned a spot kick in the 37th minute when Rakesh Das was brought down by Kabui. Referee Dwijen Sarma did not hesitate to award the penalty considering the intensity of the offence. Navajyoti midfielder Birdwm Basumatary made no mistake in converting the shot which reduced the margin. After the reducer, the momentum of the game increased. FCI attackers Rakesh and Subilal Konwar tried to split the Dynamo defence with some one-touch moves.

But during the injury time of the first session, Deepak got the ball at the top of the box when FCI defenders failed to clear a centre from Francis. He took no time to unleash a shot which was studded with an element of surprise and the flight of the ball was enough to beat the FCI goalkeeper.
