GUWAHATI, March 24 - The Retired Information and Public Relations Officers� Association has condoled the death of retired senior liaison officer Dwijendra Nath Sarma (82) who passed away on March 19.

The Association�s chief adviser DN Chakravartty said Sarma earned respect of his colleagues and the public with his efficiency in work, transparency of his character, and his outspokenness and simplicity.

Sarma started his career as a translator in the Directorate of Information and Public Relations and served on deputation as a PRO of the Governor and the State Integration Council.
