GUWAHATI, Sept 26 - The Asom Vijaya Dashami Mahotsav Samity under the aegis of Brihattar Fancy Bazar Sahitya Sabha and Friends Club, Fancy Bazar, today announced that due to the crowded immersion processions at the Fancy Bazar Kachumari Ghat on Vijaya Dashami day, the forthcoming Dussehra that was scheduled for September 30, has been rescheduled and will now be celebrated on October 1 at Old Jail Compound, Fancy Bazar.
�This has been done following a request from the Police Commissionerate to defer the event by a day in view of the massive turnout on the day of immersion. We will celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm and grandeur, and a spectacular display of fireworks and laser show will keep the audience spellbound,� the Samity said in a statement.
