Durga Puja at Ramkrishna Mission Ashrama

GUWAHATI, Sept 23 - Along with other parts of the State, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati will celebrate Durga Puja, the biggest festival of the year with pomp and gaiety, stated a press release.

On September 25, Panchami will be celebrated at 6 pm followed by Amantran and Adhivasa (Sasthi) on September 26 from 6 pm.

The Saptami puja will begin on September 27 from 5.30 am while Maha Astami puja will begin from 5.30 am on September 28 followed by Kumari puja, puspanjali, prasad distribution and Sandhi puja.

Hom yagna will begin on Mahanavami (September 29), while Darpan Visarjan (Dasami) will take place from 9 am. The immersion will begin at 4 pm in the ashrama pond before Sri Sri Thakur�s evening aratrik, informed Swami Atmashuddhananda, secretary of the ashrama.

Further, Kali puja will be celebrated at the ashrama premises on October 19 with full religious fervour.

Meanwhile, similar functions will be held at Tezpur and Dhekiajuli Ramakrishna Missions with traditional gaiety, the release added.
