BONGAIGAON, Oct 8 - The Bongaigaon district administration arranged for a smooth and safe immersion ceremony of the idols of Goddess Durga at two ponds near Bongaigaon College and Vivekananda Bidyapeeth at Dangtol in New Bongaigaon area on Tuesday evening.
Idols were immersed in the ponds one by one in the presence of security personnel, NDRF and fire and emergency teams.
This time, over 40 Durga idols were immersed in the pond near Bongaigaon College and six idols in the pond near Vivekananda Bidyapeeth in New Bongaigaon area.
