Duliajan to host State TT tourney

GUWAHATI, Oct 17 - The 6th Nagen Hazarika, 10th RG Baruah All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship and 67th Donic Inter District and Assam State TT Championship will be conducted at the OIL Indoor Stadium, Duliajan from October 27 to November 4.

Stating this in a release, the Assam Table Tennis Association secretary Tridib Duvarah said, this will be the 8th and 9th ranking championship after the meets being organised at Golaghat, Duliajan, Guwahati, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Jorhat and Sivasagar.

Around 450 players from districts including Guwahati, Nagaon, Mangaldai, Tezpur, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Nazira, Namrup, Dibrugarh along with institutions like OIL NF Railway will participate in the event.

The State TT body has nominated Gobinda Upadhaya as chief referee, Biman Bhagawati and Jotirmoy Khanikar as assistant referees for the meet. Nayan Jyoti Sarma and Subrajit Singha have been appointed as observers.
