DULIAJAN, March 20 - Duliajan Football Academy (DFA) clinched the title in the OIL-DFA Invitational Inter Academy Football Tournament defeating Barekuri Football Academy 2-0 in the final played at the Nehru Maidan here today.
John Kharia and Anil Tamung netted a goal each for the winning team. Gopal Gaur and John Sarania, both of DFA, were adjudged as best player of the final and tournament respectively.
Altogether 10 teams from Dibrugarh and Tinsukia district took part in the championship which was organised by the DFA and was sponsored by Oil India Limited.
In the closing function, Sudipta Chakravarty, DGM (PA) OIL was present as chief guest. Chakravarty and Parag Gogoi, DGM (security) OIL gave away the champions and runners-up trophies respectively.
