DIBRUGARH, Nov 9 - Two tragic deaths of students of Dibrugarh University in separate incidents today, left the varsity, particularly the student community in grief.
The university was disturbed by yet another case of alleged suicide by one Lakhyajit Gogoi, a seventh year student of Integrated MSc in Physics. He reportedly killed himself by hanging from a ceiling fan inside his room in a nearby private hostel. He hails from Dhemaji.
In another incident, one Bidyut Bikash Dutta, a ninth semester student of Centre for Juridical Studies of Dibrugarh University reportedly drowned while having a bath in the Brahmaputra during a picnic party in Pasighat. Dutta hails from Golaghat. It is pertinent to recall that on September 17, one Rinki Dutta of the Department of English, Dibrugarh University had committed suicide inside her room in the varsity�s Joymoti Chatri Nivas hostel.
