DU annual fest gets under way

DIBRUGARH, Sept 19 � Auxesis, the annual techno-cultural-cum-management festival of the Dibrugarh University (DU), got under way today. The four-day extravaganza was inaugurated by Dr D Ramaiah, Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, and a senior officer from the DAO Division, Dinjan, in the presence of Dr Alak Kumar Buragohain, Vice Chancellor, Dibrugarh University, and Dr M C Bora, Director, DUIET, at the Rangghar Auditorium of the DU.

Dr D Ramaiah, while addressing the gathering, urged the students to come up with innovative ideas for the betterment of the country. The ceremony saw various cultural events staged by the students of DUIET.

The first day of Auxesis also saw a workshop on ethical hacking, conducted by Tech Defence, and other events like photography exhibition, limited overs cricket matches and a computer gaming competition. The festival will end on September 22.
