JORABAT, Sept 14 - In a shocking incident that took place at Mahirakuchi village of Digaru under Sonapur Police Station last night, Jai Dhan Deori (25) attacked his father, Gohin Deori (55), with a hatchet in a drunken state and partly cut the latter�s left arm.
The neighbours admitted Gohin to the Sonapur Hospital, who was later shifted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. After getting information about the incident, the Sonapur Police arrested Jai Dhan and started investigation into the incident.
