GUWAHATI, March 10 � Four persons were arrested from two different locations here with a huge quantity of psychotropic drugs this morning.
While 20 kilograms of respified tablets were seized from two persons from Manipur in the Fatasil Ambari area this morning, police caught hold of two more persons from Mizoram, including a woman with 40 kilograms of ephidrine tablets on the ISBT premises.
Police also recovered Rs 80,000 (INR) and Myanmar currency worth Rs 1,20,000 from the possession of the Mizo duo. The duo, according to the police, came from the Siliguri and were heading towards Mizoram. The arrested have been identified as Laldu Hawmi (50), a woman, and Thangliyana (35).
Those arrested in the Fatasil Ambari area are Lalrinawama (35) and Solomona (28).
