JORHAT, Dec 27 - Jorhat Police on Monday arrested a person identified as Sumu Ali of Tarun Nagar, Tocklai locality of the city on charges of drugs peddling.
A police source stated that 250 gms of suspected bhang (cannabis) along with two gms of narcotic substance suspected to be brown sugar were recovered from his possession.
Ali was booked under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. It may be mentioned here that on Sunday police had arrested three men on similar charges.
