GUWAHATI, Nov 25 The theatre buffs of the State would get a platter of three widely acclaimed plays in Just Theatre, a festival of plays an event being organized by the Zerifa Wahid Production at Rabindra Bhawan here from November 28 to December 1.

The theatrical treat, planned as an annual event by the organizers, has been dedicated to the cause of autism and blood donation.

Napoleon, by eminent playwright Arun Sharma, would be the inaugural play of the event. The fest would be inaugurated by noted litterateur Birendranath Dutta.

To begin with the three plays Napoleon, Girish Karnads Naga-mandala and AR Gurneys Love Letters (named Moromor Bondhu in Assamese), we are planning to expand the festival in future, making it multi-dimensional. As an annual event, we would bring plays from other States and countries and would also promote the theatrical excellence within our State and the North East, actor Kapil Bora, on behalf of the organizers, told The Assam Tribune.

The cast in the three plays includes Zerifa Wahid, Kapil Bora, Ratul Das, Asha Bordoloi, Jolly Laskar, Dr Jayanta Das and Mihir Jyoti Barua, among others. The inaugural play would be staged at 3.30 pm and again at 6.30 pm on the same day. On the second day of the event, there would be one show of Naga-mandala at 6.30 pm. Again on November 30, two shows of the Naga-mandala would be staged. On December 1, one show of Moromor Bondhu would be staged at 6.30 pm. All the plays would be directed by Abinash Sarma.

All the plays, staged earlier also, have won wide appreciation by the theatre lovers. The 3.30 pm shows would have free entry for students and other theatre lovers, added Bora.
