GUWAHATI, Oct 15 - As per instructions of the State Chief Electoral Officer, the draft electoral rolls for special summary revision of photo electoral rolls of No. 51 Jalukbari, No. 52 Dispur, No. 53 Guwahati East and No. 54 Guwahati West LACs falling under Kamrup Metropolitan Election District have been published on October 14 in all the polling station locations and offices of the Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) concerned.
As per the schedule, the period for filing of claims and objections is till November 15, said an official statement issued today.
Reading of relevant part or section of photo electoral rolls in gram sabha or local bodies and resident welfare association (RWA) meetings and verification of names will be done from October 18 to November 2.
Special campaign dates with booth level agents of political parties for receiving claims and objections will be from October 23 to November 13.
Disposal of claims and objections will be done by December 15.
Updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the control tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list will be done by January 5, 2017.
The final publication of electoral rolls will be made on January 20, 2017.
