GUWAHATI, March 27 - The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has placed the draft of the new rule book � The Assam Public Service Commission (Conduct of Business) Procedure, 2019 � as per the directions of the Gauhati High Court.
In a recent judgment, in response to a petition filed by Manash Pratim Baruah, the High Court, after going through the draft, asked the Commission to submit whether the Procedure 2019, which is said to be in suppression of the Rules 2010, has been notified and come into effect.
The Court has also asked the Commission to file the affidavit clarifying the status within 10 days. Petitioner Manash Pratim Baruah had filed the petition underlining the need for a new rule book for the APSC in lieu of the existing one to streamline the appointment procedure and other related matters.
