GUWAHATI, Oct 16 - A programme depicting the rich cultural heritage of the sattras was organised at Sualkuchi Sati Sattra recently in honour of Dr Chandra Bhanu Satpathy, spiritual thinker, writer and philanthropist.
The Sattra welcomed Dr Satpathy with a traditional Assamese gamosa and a jaapi. He was accompanied by a team comprising officers of the State Government and the district in addition to local devotees, a press release said.
The cultural programme included traditional Sattriya dance, Krishna Leela, Borgeet recital and dance items.
