GUWAHATI, Dec 10 - Former captain of the Assam Santosh Trophy team and eminent physician of the State Dr Sarat Ch Dutta�s mortal remains were consigned to the flames by his two sons and daughter at the Nabagraha cremation ground here today in the presence of a host of peers, relatives and admirers.
Dr Dutta passed away on December 7. His mortal remains were brought to India Club on the way to Nabagraha from his Rajgarh residence, of which he was an ex president. Members in large numbers were present and they offered floral wreath to bid the stalwart their last goodbyes. India Club president Bijan Kumar Choudhury, led the prayers at the official condolence meeting that was held at the club premises, stated and India Club release.
On the other hand, a condolence meeting was also held today in which the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) condoled the demise of the former Santosh Trophy player and president of India Club.
