Dr JN Goswami interacts with Titabor students

JORHAT, June 8 - Participating in an interaction programme with the students of the Titabor-based Mihiram Saikia Higher Secondary School, renowned space scientist Dr Jitendranath Goswami of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) today said that perseverance brings success to people as they overcome all difficulties to achieve the desired goal.

The students, who availed of the opportunity to talk to the ISRO scientist, asked a series of questions to clear their doubts on choosing their future careers.

Replying to the queries of the curious students, Dr Goswami said that devotion to learning and independent thinking while choosing careers would help them immensely to achieve success in life.

Dr Goswami suggested to the students not to waste time in playing games on mobile phones during their studies. He pointed out that perseverance and inspiration that he received from other great people helped him in achieving success.

Along with the principal of the HS school, Wajidur Rahman, representative of the donor family of the institution, Raktim Saikia, curator of Jorhat Science Centre and Planetarium, Dr Pranab Jyoti Chetia, and many other teachers and local residents were present in the interaction programme.

Dr Goswami was also felicitated by the school authorities and the Titabor regional unit of All Assam Students� Union during the programme.
