DPS Guwahati team wins WWF middle level quiz

GUWAHATI, Sept 10 - Seventy schools, with 4,170 students from various school chains like KV, DPS, VKV, APS, Sainik Schools, MVM, Don Bosco, ICSE schools and State Boards of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh, participated in this year�s WWF Wild Wisdom quiz recently.

Adhiraj Kar (Class VI) and Navaneel Chakraborty (Class VII) of Delhi Public School, Guwahati, emerged winners securing the first position in the Middle Level quiz after various rounds of quiz conducted by Abhra Das. The second position was bagged by Tausif Afreen Hussain (Class VII) and Avilasha Kalita (Class VII) of Maharishi Vidya Mandir IV, Barsajai, and the third position went to Winson Moirangthem (Class VII) and Kshetrimayum Chingkhei Singh (Class VI) of Sainik Foundation School, Imphal.

Archita Baruah Bhattacharyya, Coordinator, WWF-India, AAPSO, said the winners of WWF Wild Wisdom NE City Final � DPS Guwahati � will now represent the Northeast in the National Final to be held in New Delhi on October 6.

During the event, a brochure, Common Birds of Assam prepared by WWF-India, AAPSO, was released. While the Junior and Middle Level Quiz are inching towards finale across the cities, the online version of the quiz registration for senior school students will remain open till October 10.

The finalists for the Middle Level Quiz were Maharishi Vidya Mandir IV, Barsajai, Sainik Foundation School, Imphal, KV Khanapara, DPS Guwahati and wildcard entry winners Mohixit Goswami (Class VII) and Nirnayak Talukdar (Class VII).
