Doomdooma youth reaches Kartarpur Sahib in Pak on bike

DOOMDOOMA, Nov 28 - Kamaldeep Singh Barnala of Selenguri, Kakopothar in Doomdooma recently visited Kartarpur Sahib, a holy place for the Sikh comunity situated in Punjab province of Pakistan � and his entire journey was completed on a bike.

Talking to this correspondent, Kamaldeep, the 33-year-old son of Harindar Singh Barnala and Nirmaljit Kour, started his journey alone from home on his bike on November 3 and reached Kartarpur Sahib on November 12.

On his way, he visited Patna Sahib, Swarna Mandir, Anantpur Sahib, Damdama Sahib and Nanded Sahib in India, and reached Kartarpur Sahib on the day of Guru Nanak�s birthday on November 12.

After visiting the pilgrimage sites, Kamaldeep reached home on Wednesday, and was accorded a warm welcome on his return at the gurdwara of Doomdooma.

Kamaldeep said that he got full cooperation from the people in various parts of the country.

He said the Pakistan government has maintained the pilgrimage site beautifully and made all arrangements for the pilgrims.

It may be mentioned here that the Kartarpur Corridor was opened by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on November 9 and Indian Sikh pilgrims were officially allowed visa-free access to the site in Pakistan.
