DOOMDOOMA, Aug 2 - The Doomdooma branch of Marwari Yuva Manch (MYM) arranged plasma for Renu Agarwal here, who is a COVID-19 positive patient and is undergoing treatment at AMCH, Dibrugarh.
The plasma was donated by Mukesh Goel from Guwahati. The president of the Guwahati branch of MYM, Rahul Sharma and the secretary of Purbuttar Marwari Yuva Manch, Rahul Agarwal extended help in collection of the plasma.
This is the second case of plasma donation in Dibrugarh. Earlier, the Dibrugarh branch of MYM arranged plasma for a COVID positive patient.
Doomdooma branch of MYM has urged the state health minister to make necessary arrangements to collect plasma at Dibrugarh in the collective interest of the patients. The branch is also conducting awareness campaigns among the masses for plasma donation.
Meanwhile, 150 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Tinsukia district during the last 24 hours, thus raising the number of infected persons to 1,777 in the district till the time of filing this report.
