Don Bosco wins regional Limca Quiz

GUWAHATI, Sept 23 � Don Bosco Sr. Secondary High School, Panbazar, won the Guwahati City finals of Limca Book of Records Quiz-2010 held at Guru Nanak English High School here recently.

The young contestants from the winning school in Guwahati would now compete with the winners from 80 other schools in the semifinals. Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Rajgarh, emerged as the runners-up in the event. Around 134 students from 26 schools participated from Guwahati out of which six schools competed in the city finals.

The winning team was felicitated by Niranjan Kataki, Area HR manager, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Also present at the event was Biswajeet Paul, Limca Book of Records holder for inscribing a picture on a black glass measuring 1x1 ft in a minute and Swinkle Singh, principal, Guru Nanak English High School, Guwahati.

Derek O� Brien, renowned quizmaster and founder of �Know & Grow with Derek�, will host the national finals. The entire database including content, research material and quiz software is being provided by �Know & Grow with Derek.�

In Limca Book of Records Quiz-2009, students from over 3,000 schools battled it out to be the winners of the national finals.
