Don Bosco, DPS enter final

GUWAHATI, Jan 12 � Delhi Public School (DPS), Guwahati will play against Don Bosco School, Guwahati in the final of the Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre (GCCC) organised inter-school cricket championship for the Nabin Chandra Tamuly Trophy.

The final will be played tomorrow from 9 am.

Both the semifinals of 25 overs were played at the Nehru Stadium here today, where DPS beat Shrimanta Shankar Academy by 69 runs and the Bosconians drubbed Modern English School by 47 runs. In the first semifinal, DPS, put into bat first, scored 137 for four with Rio Pramanik (46) and Pawan Thakuria (30) being the leading scorers.

While chasing the moderate target, the Shankar Academy boys surrendered to the guile of leggie Akshay Narain (5/17), who was adjudged man-of-the-match, and were all out for 70. On the other hand, Bosconians managed to score 104 all out in 24.1 overs and restricted the opponent to 57. Kuldeep Deka of the winning team received the man-of-the-match award.
