AGARTALA, May 24 - Air services, which were suspended for two months because of lockdown, will resume in Maharaja Bir Bikram airport from tomorrow, official sources confirmed here. Initially, six flights covering Guwahati, Kolkata and Bangaluru will be operating from the MBB airport but maximum number of flights will be available for Agartala/Kolkata and Kolkata/Agartala.
Sources said, tickets booking has already begun amidst lockdown as many people have got stranded in Kolkata, Bangaluru, Chennai and Delhi.
Interestingly, most of the air service providers are offering tickets from June 1. MBB airport, said to be the second-biggest airports as far as handling of passengers is concerned, has already geared up to resume services after two months of lockdown.
