GUWAHATI, March 24 - Minister Naba Kumar Doley was today elected as the new president of the Assam Football Association (AFA).

Doley was elected as the president for the term 2019-2023.

In the Annual General Meeting, which was attended by the representatives of 51 affiliated district units here today, Hemendra Nath Brahma was elected as the secretary. The meeting also elected 22 office bearers and governing body members.

The election process was supervised by advocates Bijon Kumar Mahajan (returning officer) and Nausad Alam (Assistant Returning Officer).
