Docu film on Anundoram

GUWAHATI, Jan 20 � As part of its year-long silver jubilee, the Anundoram Barooah Institute of Language, Art & Culture, Assam, (ABILAC) is going to screen a documentary film �Anundoram Barooah: A Forerunner of Modern Assam� at National Library India, Kolkata, on January 21.

The screening is being held in collaboration with Assam Socio Literary Club and National Library India, said a statement issued by Dr DK Kalita, Director of ABILAC.

The documentary film, produced by ABILAC, is based on the life and works of Anundoram Barooah and its shooting took place in Assam, West Bengal and Bangladesh.

National award winner director duo, Amalesh Dasgupta and Dr Swapan Saha, have directed the 64-minute documentary.

The documentary will also be screened at the Assam Cultural Trust Auditorium at Machkhowa here later.
