GUWAHATI, June 9 - A get-together of the descendents of people who had to leave for Myanmar two centuries ago and for the Chittagong Hill Tracts about 150 years back, with the people of Assam is being organised by the Association for Historically Dispersed People of Assam (ASHDIPA) at Shilpgram, Panjabari on June 12 at 3 pm.
The programme is being organised in association with the Gauhati University, Asam Sahitya Sabha, Srimanta Sankardev Sangha and Barduwa Than Samity, a press release stated.
