Discover NE India fest kicks off in Mizoram

AIZAWL, Nov 18 - Discover Northeast India Cultural festival kicked off amidst a riot of colours at Kawnpui town in northern Mizoram on Wednesday.

Jointly organised by North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, and Mizoram Government�s Art & Culture department, the first day of the three day-long cultural extravaganza witnessed colourful cultural dances of different tribes of North East.

Altogether 100 artistes from Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala are participating in the event, besides dance troupes from Mizoram. This is the third time that the cultural festival is being held in Mizoram.
