GUWAHATI, Dec 4 - The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has directed the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) to take immediate necessary action to cancel the trade licences/occupancy certificates of two establishments (buildings) for not adhering to fire safety norms even after repeated reminders.
Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Dr M Angamuthu has ordered the authorities to initiate action against the Srimanta Market building located on AT Road (Athgaon) and the City Centre building (residential-cum-commercial) located on AT Road (Tokobari), a press release stated.
The order has been issued after the arrival of the report from the Fire and Emergency Services headquarters.
