GUWAHATI, Aug 4 - The District Transport Office of Kamrup Metro has asked all driving licence holders, whose licences have been issued by authorities in Nagaland to approach the DTO office here for verification of the genuineness of their licences.
�...many such driving licenses are found to be fake. Therefore, all the holders of Nagaland licence are requested to approach the office... for verification of the genuineness of his/her licence immediately,� said an official statement.
�A joint checking drive by MVIs and enforcement staff will be initiated shortly for detection of the fake Nagaland licences. After detection of the fake licences, action will be taken against the holder as per MV Act & Rules,� it added.
