GUWAHATI, Dec 12 - Officials and staff of the DIPR Assam today condoled the death of its former Director, Jiban Sonowal, who passed away at his Beltola residence here last evening.
Before his cremation today, Sonowal�s mortal remains were taken to the DIPR office at Dispur this morning, where a number of people paid homage to the deceased.
A condolence meeting held on the occasion prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
