DIPHU, Nov 19 - The Member of Parliament (MP) of Autonomous district, Horen Sing Bey inaugurated the newly-constructed guest house of Diphu Kala Kendra here recently.
The guest house building worth Rs 10 lakh was constructed under the MLA Untied Fund Scheme for the financial year 2015-16. The fund was sanctioned by the then Congress MLA of Diphu Legislative Assembly constituency and present leader of BJP Bidysing Engleng.
After the formal inaugural of the guest house, Bey expressed his satisfaction over the good management of the Kala Kendra.
Meanwhile, he also assured to provide Rs 25 lakh from his MPLAD fund for the development of the Kala Kendra. During the inaugural function Ratan Teron, EM, KAAC, Bidyasing Engleng former MLA, Bobin Kro, former MAC, KAAC, Richard Rongpi, Deputy Secretary, KAAC and PD, Diplip Kumar Das, Secretary, Kala Kendra and many distinguished dignitaries were present.
More than 800 students have been pursuing painting and music education from the said premier institution.
