GUWAHATI, Jan 20 - The Byatikram Mass Awareness and Social Development Organisation (Byatikram MASDO) in collaboration with Post Graduate Student Union, Gauhati University, Sai Vikash Junior College and GEO Gems will felicitate Olympian and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee Dipa Karmakar and her coach Bishweshwar Nandi on January 22.
The felicitation function will be held at the Assam Cricket Association stadium complex, Barsapara here at 5.30 pm.
Informing about the funaction in a press conference today, Dr Saumen Bharatiya, president, Byatikram MASDO said as Dipa hails from the neighbouring State of Tripura it is their responsibility to honour her. Dipa will be presented Rs 1.5 lakh in the function.
