Dimasa Students� Union 59th foundation day

HAFLONG, Sept 20 � The Dimasa Students� Union (DSU) celebrated its 59th foundation day here recently.

The day�s programme began with the hoisting of the flag by DSU president Thalendra Dibragede. This was followed by the paying of homage to the founder president and the general secretary of the student body by the dignitaries as well as delegates.

In this connection, a meeting was also held with Thalendra Dibragede, president, DSU, in the chair and Prakanta Warisa, executive member, NCHAC, as the chief guest. Kalyan Daolagupu, president, JNH, Depolal Hojai, former chairman, NCHAC, Mayanan Kemprai, former executive member, NCHAC, and others attended as guests of honour and special invitees.

DSU members sang the DSU anthem, which was followed by a traditional dance.

All the speakers, while stressing importance on the welfare of the student community, reiterated their support to the implementation of Article 244. They also appealed to the students not to get involved in anti-social activities.

Amol Daolagajao, general secretary, DSU, delivered the welcome speech.
