By Correspondent

DIMAPUR, Sept 13 - Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Kesonyu Yhome has directed Dimapur District Auto Drivers Union (DDADU) to adhere to the autorickshaw fares as revised by Regional Transport Authority (RTA).

In an order, the DC has also directed DDADU to strictly abide by the rules and regulations issued by the competent authority from time to time.

The DDADU had called an indefinite strike from September 11 in protest against the fare revision made by the district authorities. However, the bandh was called off the same day unconditionally.

The DC further notified that the fixation of rates is a prerogative of the State and fixed after due consideration.

The rates will be revised as and when felt necessary by the authority and not at the convenience and terms of the union, the order said.
