Dilip Saikia seeks support of Kamalpur LAC voters

BAIHATA CHARIALI, April 8 - The BJP nominated and AGP and BPF supported candidate for Mangaldai Lok Sabha seat Dilip Saikia on Saturday addressed four election meetings at Kamalpur LAC as part of his election campaign.

The BJP, AGP and BPF workers and supporters of Kamalpur LAC took out a massive rally in the constituency with the BJP candidate and organised four election meetings at Singarpara, Dagaon, Kamalpur and Athgaon here.

Addressing the mammoth gathering at Singarpara, Saikia said that during the last 55 years under Congress rule the nation was lagging behind in all spheres but the people have seen radical changes of development in science and technology, security arrangements, economy, health sector etc., during the last five years under Narendra Modi-led Central government.

Saikia also said that their leader Narendra Modi has been working hard to make India a leading powerful country of South East Asia. So, the people of Mangaldai HPC should decide to cast their votes in favour of BJP for the greater interest of the nation.

Delivering the welcome address, Satyabrat Kalita, MLA of Kamalpur LAC, said that since the election wind is blowing in favour of BJP, AGP and BPF alliance, BJP candidate Dilip Saikia will take a lead of over 50,000 votes against his nearest rival in this constituency.

Participating in the meeting, Bhabesh Kalita , State Revenue minister said that though former Prime minister Monmohan Singh was an MP from Assam but he did not do anything for the development of Assam. However, Narendra Modi has released huge amount of funds for development of Assam and the North East.

Former MLA of Kamalpur LAC Jadab Chandra Deka also graced the occasion and, in his speech, said that since the last three consecutive terms Mangaldai Lok Sabha seat was under the BJP, in this general election too the seat will be captured by BJP as the Congress candidate Bhubaneswar Kalita is considered as a unsuccessful leader by the people of Mangaldai HPC and people of his home constituency Rangiya.

During the term of Bhubaneswar Kalita as State Industry minister, Rangiya-based APOL mill was closed down and hundreds of people lost their jobs, Jadab Deka added.

Others who were present in the meeting included Vice Chairman of Assam Tourism Corporation Nabadeep Kalita, election in-charge of BJP for Kamalpur LAC Manoj Baruah, legal cell member Benudhar Nath and a number of AGP leaders.
