BAIHATA CHARIALI, March 23 - Amid a huge gathering, Dilip Saikia BJP candidate for Mangaldoi Lok Sabha constituency was felicitated today at Baihata Chariali by the workers of AGP and BJP of Kamalpur LAC.
On the occasion, a meeting was also held at the office of AGP Rangiya district committee at Baihata Chariali where Dilip Saikia urged the gathering to work hard for the Lok Sabha poll so that a Congress-free Central government would once again come to the power. Satyabrat Kalita, MLA of Kamalpur LAC while speaking said that the prime objective of the alliance of AGP and BJP is to fight against the corrupt Congress so that all workers of the alliance group work unitedly for the win of their candidate.
In the meeting, BJP leader Manoj Baruah, ex-MLA of Kamalpur LAC, Jadab Deka along with workers of AGP and BJP of Kamalpur LAC were present. The meeting informed that their candidate would submit his nomination paper on March 25 and on March 26, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) would inaugurate the election campaign for the Lok Sabha constituency.
