Dilip Moran quits BJP

DOOMDOOMA, Oct 29 - Former MLA of Doomdooma LAC and the vice-president of Assam Pradesh BJP, Dilip Moran resigned from the party on Friday. He resigned from all the posts and primary membership of the party.

In his resignation letter addressed to the president of Assam Pradesh BJP, Moran wrote that at present the old party workers had no value in the State BJP.

Dilip Moran had sought the BJP ticket to contest from the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat scheduled to be held on November 19 . But, the BJP gave the ticket to Pradan Baruah. Expressing his dissatisfaction over the party decision, Dilip Moran resigned from the party. Now, he will contest the by-election as an independent candidate. He will file his nomination on November 2.
