Digital India Week observed

GUWAHATI, July 13 - The Tezpur-based National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), which is an extension centre of the NIELIT Guwahati, along with their training partners, observed the Digital India Week in Sonitpur, Nagaon, Dhemaji and Udalguri districts.

According to a press release, the Tezpur NIELIT organised programmes like awareness programmes, skit competition, quiz competition, outdoor campaign etc., in keeping with the Digital India Week initiatives in association with its training partners � PVI Computer (Nagaon), IAPS(Tezpur), Silapathar Science College (Silapathar), among others.

NIELIT Tezpur centre had organised an awareness programme on the centre�s premises, which was attended by the president of India�s �Inspiring Teacher- 2015 Award� winner Dr Dhruba K Bhattacharyya, Dean, School of Engineering, Tezpur University as the chief guest along with K Baruah, Director NIELIT, Guwahati, Anup Kumar Baruah, technical director, NIC, Tezpur, and Abhijit Kakoti, additional DIO, NIC, Tezpur.

The meeting was attended by number of students and parents, who were very much inspired by the Digital India Initiatives of the Government of India. There were about 5,000 participants attending different events organised by the Tezpur Extension Centre of the NIELIT, Guwahati, in association with its training partners.
